I am Géraldine Archambault, founder of Essential Parfums. In this podcast, I’ll be taking you on a journey to meet the personalities – perfumers, evaluators, designers – who are writing the history of contemporary perfumery, and who have lent their names and talents to the brand’s creations. “Conversations Olfactive” (Olfactive Conversations) is a conversation between passionate people, sincere and generous, just like the perfumery I love and which inspires me every day in the Essential Parfums adventure. Enjoy !

Chapter 7: Anne-Laure Pouquet
For this seventh episode of Conversations Olfactives, Géraldine Archambault takes you to Montmartre to meet Anne-Laure Pouquet.
Scent Design Director Fine Fragrance at IFF, Anne-Laure works as an evaluator, a discreet, often overlooked role that is nonetheless key to the creation of perfumes. Combining intuition, a critical eye and dialogue with perfumers, Anne-Laure invites you to discover her profession. Enjoy the discovery and happy listening.

Chapter 6: Behind the Scenes of the Givaudan Perfumery School with Calice Becker
For this special episode of Conversations Olfactives, Géraldine invites you to step inside one of the most legendary institutions in the world of perfumery: the Givaudan Perfumery School.
Our guide is Calice Becker, Master Perfumer, a leading figure in contemporary perfumery, creator of The Musc and The Musc Extrait for Essential Parfums, and now Director of this iconic school founded on the legacy of Jean Carles.
Through an immersive audio journey, Calice shares the story of the school, its pedagogy, its values and its mission: shaping the perfumers of tomorrow. Along the way, she also reflects on her own path, and on what this role of transmission brings to her work as a perfumer.
The episode also gives voice to two perfumery students, Billie Bracchi and Philae Rollet, who share their journeys, aspirations and daily life at the heart of this true nursery of talent.
A rare and intimate dive into the world behind fragrance creation.
Enjoy listening.

Chapter 4 : Alnoor
In this fourth episode of Conversations Olfactives, Géraldine Archambault introduces you to designer Alnoor.
Alnoor, a Frenchman of Indian origin, is a graduate of the École Supérieure de Design Industriel in Paris. Since 2003, he has been running the packaging design agency Objets de Convoitises in Paris, but he is also the official designer for Roche Bobois. A proponent of the ‘French art de vivre’, his work ranges from perfume bottles to furniture and decoration, including tableware.
Alnoor designed the signature bottle for Essential Parfums, as well as those for major brands such as Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Caron and Jimmy Choo. He works behind the scenes, with precision, to create objects of desire. Objects that touch us, seduce us and tell us a story.

Chapter 5 : Dominique Ropion
For this fifth episode, Géraldine invites you to join her in conversation with a perfumer who is as secretive as he is legendary... A key figure in contemporary perfumery, he has created some of the most memorable fragrances of recent decades. Sometimes referred to as ‘the master of flowers’, you may have guessed that we are talking about Dominique Ropion.
We are at IFF in Neuilly, not far from Paris, the city where Dominique Ropion was born, grew up, and which he loves deeply. With him, we will travel back in time: from the scents of his childhood to his first successes, via his olfactory shocks, his favourite materials, and of course the creation of Velvet Iris, the fragrance he recently created for Essential Parfums. Enjoy !

Chapter 3 : Judith Gross
For this 3rd episode of Conversations Olfactives, Géraldine Archambault invites you to meet Judith Gross. Judith Gross is Vice-President, Scent Communication & Branding, at IFF, which she joined as a marketing trainee in 1993.
She has spent her career in a variety of marketing, communications and management roles, always working to promote the art of perfumery, its invisible artists, and the technologies and innovations that make it unique. She is also committed to shedding light on the behind-the-scenes development of LMR and IFF's magnificent ingredients, an essential aspect of olfactory creation.
In her role, Judith collaborates with IFF teams around the world, as well as external partners ranging from fashion schools to artists, technological innovators to emerging brands, to highlight the many virtues of fragrance, with the deep conviction that fragrance makes the world a better place and creates joy.

Chapter 2 : Fabrice Pellegrin
For this 2nd episode of Conversations Olfactives, Géraldine Archambault invites you to discover the perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin.
A year ago, Fabrice signed Patchouli Mania for Essential Parfums, a deliciously delicious woody patchouli, and certainly one of the most addictive perfumes in our collection.
Fabrice Pellegrin carries Grasse in his blood. Son of a perfumer, grandson of a grandmother who picked jasmine and a grandfather in the production of raw materials, Fabrice was destined to be a professional footballer... It was perfume that ultimately won him over, and that’s so much the better for perfumery.
As reserved as he is generous, as passionate as he is humble, as hardworking as he is hedonistic, Fabrice embodies the Grasse spirit. Guided by his lucky star, this perfumer in love with natural ingredients has been creating marvelous creations for more than 15 years for the most beautiful houses, from Hermès to Diptyque, including Rabanne, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Mugler.

Chapter 1 : Anne Flipo
For this first episode, Géraldine Archambault invites us to chat with Anne Flipo, the perfumer behind Néroli Botanica, Essential Parfums' 10th creation.
Anne Flipo grew up far from Grasse, in a wonderfully flowery garden in the north of France. Hypersensitive to the world around her, insatiably curious and driven by an immense thirst for freedom, she chose perfumery to express the many facets of her creativity. From L'Artisan Parfumeur to Jo Malone, from Rabanne (Lady Million, Invictus) to Lancôme (La Vie est Belle), via Yves Saint Laurent's Libre, her career has been marked by immense success.
In this episode, Anne talks to us about her childhood, the birth of her vocation as a perfumer, her career path and her creative process.
