Essential Parfums

Mathieu Nardin

Senior Perfumer

biography-title*

Born in Grasse, at the heart of a territory where raw materials are at once culture, heritage and language, Mathieu Nardin developed from an early age an intimate relationship with natural ingredients. An instinctive sensitivity he later refined within two emblematic family-owned fragrance houses in Grasse, Robertet and then Mane, endlessly exploring the many expressions of naturality.

For him, respect for raw materials is self-evident. Each essence is approached as a promise, revealed in its truest expression. Yet the perfumer is also an audacious creator, driven by a desire to shift perspectives: diverting an ingredient from its expected path, allowing it to tell a different story, opening up new olfactory horizons.

Osmanthus Absolu

A floral tea with fruity and leathery accents

Osmanthus Absolu was born from an exclusive co-creation with Skins, the leading destination for niche perfumery in the Netherlands.

A true delight for the senses, Osmanthus Absolu reimagines the iconic tea accord around an osmanthus that is by turns fruity and sensual. The fragrance offers a subtle interplay between tea, flowers and fruit — both refreshingly simple and deliciously complex.

From the very first notes, bergamot brings a crystal-clear freshness, quickly lifted by the spicy sparkle of cardamom. The opening is bright, lively, instantly addictive.
At the heart, osmanthus unfolds in all its richness: a velvety fruity nuance reminiscent of ripe peach and apricot, laced with a delicate leathery facet. Paired with a smoky Ceylon black tea, it develops a dense, enveloping texture that adds depth to the trail.
In the base, cedarwood anchors the composition in a modern woody edge, while a subtle touch of vanilla diffuses a soft, sensual warmth.

“I envisioned a modern take on the tea accord, where smoky Ceylon black tea meets the duality of osmanthus — fresh and peachy, yet deep and delicately leathery. Brightened with bergamot and cardamom, it lingers in the gentle caress of cedarwood and vanilla.”
